About the Navy Method

The U.S. Navy body fat formula uses circumference measurements to estimate body fat percentage. For men, it requires neck, waist, and height measurements. For women, it additionally requires hip circumference. While not as accurate as DEXA scans or hydrostatic weighing, it provides a reasonable estimate with just a tape measure.
